...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT SOUTHEASTERN OCEAN COUNTY...

At 649 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Barnegat, or 16
miles south of Toms River, moving southeast at 15 mph.

Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail are possible with this
storm.

Locations impacted include...
Barnegat, Surf City, Brookville, Warren Grove, Beach Haven West,
Manahawkin, Ocean Acres and Waretown.

This includes Garden State Parkway between mile markers 60 and 71.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
