...A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT NORTHWESTERN BERKS...
NORTHWESTERN LEHIGH AND SOUTHWESTERN CARBON COUNTIES...

At 735 PM EDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located
along a line extending from Ashland to near Friedensburg to
Kleinfeltersville. Movement was northeast at 35 mph.

Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail are possible with these
storms.

Locations impacted include...
Kutztown, Jim Thorpe, Hamburg, Nesquehoning, Womelsdorf, Weatherly,
Newmanstown, Leesport, Shoemakersville, Bernville, Strausstown,
Lenhartsville, Fairview Hgts, New Mahoning, Wanamakers, Lansford,
Summit Hill, Beaver Meadows, Centerport and Tresckow.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for
eastern and northeastern Pennsylvania.
