...THE URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL
1215 AM EDT FOR NORTHWESTERN NEW CASTLE...CECIL...BERKS...
NORTHWESTERN MONTGOMERY AND CHESTER COUNTIES...

At 1044 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain. This will cause urban and small stream flooding in the
advisory area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen.

Some locations that could experience flooding include...
Reading, Newark, Middletown, West Chester, Elkton, Calvert,
Pottstown, Phoenixville, Coatesville, Wyomissing, Downingtown,
Elsmere, Kennett Square, New Castle, Birdsboro, Collegeville, Oxford,
Kutztown, Royersford and Hamburg.

Additional rainfall of up to one inch is expected over the area.
This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
