...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT EASTERN BERKS COUNTY...

At 606 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Denver, or near
Ephrata, moving northeast at 55 mph.

Local wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail are possible with
this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Reading, Wyomissing, Birdsboro, Kutztown, Fleetwood, Sinking Spring,
Laureldale, Wernersville, Topton, Leesport, Bally, Bechtelsville,
Lyons, Spring Ridge, Fairview Hgts, Shillington, West Reading,
Boyertown, Mount Penn and Mohnton.

Heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Cloud to ground lightning is increasing with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
