...A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT SOUTHERN CARBON AND
SOUTHWESTERN MONROE COUNTIES...

At 326 PM EDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located
along a line extending from near Beltzville State Park to Tamaqua.
Movement was southeast at 10 mph.

Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail are possible with these
storms.

Locations impacted include...
Lehighton, Jim Thorpe, Nesquehoning, New Mahoning, Beltzville State
Park, Penn Forest Reservoir, Kresgeville, Christmans, Lansford,
Summit Hill, Bowmanstown, Parryville, Weissport, Trachsville and
Weissport East.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may
cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
