...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 515 PM EDT
FOR NORTHEASTERN OCEAN AND SOUTHEASTERN MONMOUTH COUNTIES...

At 502 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Manasquan to 8 miles east of Mantoloking to near
Barnegat, moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated. A 58 mph wind gust was measured in Brick.

IMPACT...Damage to roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Toms River, Asbury Park, Barnegat, Manasquan, Point Pleasant Beach,
Seaside Heights, Mantoloking, Allenwood, Dover Beaches North, Dover
Beaches South, Brick Township, Point Pleasant, Neptune City, Brielle,
Spring Lake Heights, Bradley Beach, Spring Lake, Avon-By-the-sea, Sea
Girt and Island Heights.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.
