...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 515 AM EDT FOR
NORTHERN NEW CASTLE...CHESTER AND DELAWARE COUNTIES...

At 1256 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated showers and thunderstorms
producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to an inch or two of
rain has already fallen. Flash flooding is expected.

Some locations that could experience flooding include...
Wilmington, Newark, West Chester, Chester, Phoenixville,
Coatesville, Yeadon, Westtown, Downingtown, Folcroft, Swarthmore,
Elsmere, Kennett Square, New Castle, Oxford, Parkesburg, West Grove,
East Lansdowne and Honey Brook.

Additional rainfall amounts in excess of an inch are possible in the
warned area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other poor drainage areas and low lying spots.
