...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 730 PM EDT
FOR CENTRAL MORRIS...SUSSEX AND NORTHEASTERN WARREN COUNTIES...

At 659 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Hamburg to Ogdensburg to near Stanhope, moving east at
40 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Damage to roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Newton, Dover, Hopatcong, Kinnelon, Hackettstown, Butler, Wharton,
Rockaway, Mount Arlington, Franklin, Mountain Lakes, Stanhope,
Riverdale, Hamburg, Netcong, Ogdensburg, Sussex, Victory Gardens,
Branchville and Andover.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
