...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1000 PM EDT
FOR SOUTHWESTERN NEW CASTLE...NORTHERN KENT AND CECIL COUNTIES...

At 926 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near North East to near Cayots to near Kennedyville,
moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Damage to roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Newark, Middletown, Elkton, New Castle, North East, Delaware City,
Charlestown, Cecilton, Millington, Betterton, Warwick, Glasgow, Bear,
Bohemias Mills, Newtown, Port Penn, Brantwood, Wilmington Manor,
Delaney Corner and Saint Georges.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 95 in Maryland between mile markers 92 and 96, and
between mile markers 105 and 109.
 Interstate 95 in Delaware between mile markers 0 and 10.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
