...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT TALBOT AND SOUTHERN CAROLINE
COUNTIES...

At 305 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Secretary, or
near Hurlock, moving north at 20 mph.

Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail are possible with this
storm.

Locations impacted include...
Easton, Denton, Federalsburg, Trappe, St. Michaels, Preston, Oxford,
Tanyard, Harmony, Smithville, Copperville, Agner, Matthews, Choptank,
Hambleton, Griffin, Windyhill and Cordova.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

If you are on or near the Choptank River, get out of the water and
seek substantial shelter. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10
miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are
close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do
not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
