...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT NORTHWESTERN NEW CASTLE...NORTH
CENTRAL KENT...CECIL AND SOUTHWESTERN CHESTER COUNTIES...

At 418 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Betterton, or 9
miles southeast of Aberdeen Proving Ground. The storm is nearly
stationary.

Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail are possible with this
storm.

Locations impacted include...
Newark, Elkton, Calvert, Oxford, North East, West Grove, Charlestown,
Betterton, Zion, Blake, Barksdale, North Star, Brantwood, Pike Creek,
Fair Hill, Glen Westover, Bay View, Lombard, Andora and Pleasant
Hill.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 95 in Maryland between mile markers 93 and 109.
 Interstate 95 in Delaware between mile markers 0 and 2.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
