...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT NORTHERN NEW CASTLE COUNTY...

At 207 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Bear, or near
Newark. The storm is nearly stationary.

Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail are possible with this
storm.

Locations impacted include...
Wilmington, Newark, Elsmere, New Castle, Newport, Wilmington Manor,
Greenville, Stanton, Bear, Pike Creek and Brookside.

This includes Interstate 95 in Delaware between mile markers 3 and
14.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
