...A FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1000 AM EDT FOR SOUTH
CENTRAL MIDDLESEX COUNTY...

At 517 AM EDT, minor flooding continues along Manalapan Brook and
some of its tributaries. The flooding was caused by excessive runoff
from yesterday morning's heavy rain. The river gauge along Manalapan
Brook at Spotswood was near 19.5 feet early this morning and still
rising but close to cresting. Minor flooding will continue through
at least mid morning. The Flood Warning may need to be extended
beyond 10 AM this morning as it will take some time to drop below
flood stage of 19 feet.

* Some locations that could experience flooding include...
  Old Bridge, East Brunswick, Jamesburg, Whittingham, South River,
  Spotswood and Helmetta.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
