...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 830 AM EDT FOR
SOUTHEASTERN MONMOUTH COUNTY...

At 624 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms producing heavy rain over the warned area. Three to
four inches of rain have already fallen. Numerous road closures due
to flooding have been reported, including on Route 18 near exit 6
and Route 35 both near Wyckoff Rd and south of NJ-138. Flash
flooding may be occurring or beginning shortly.

Some locations that could experience flooding include...
Asbury Park, Tinton Falls, Manasquan, Point Pleasant Beach,
Farmingdale, Allenwood, Collingwood Park, Ramtown, Neptune City,
Brielle, Spring Lake Heights, Bradley Beach, Spring Lake,
Avon-By-the-sea, Sea Girt, Interlaken, Deal, Allenhurst, Loch Arbour
and Ocean Grove.

Additional rainfall amounts of up to one inch are possible in the
warned area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses
as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.

Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most
flood deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.
