...FLOOD WATCH IS CANCELLED...

The Flood Watch for portions of east central Pennsylvania and
southeast Pennsylvania has been cancelled. There will continue to
be some showers around through tonight into Sunday but any heavier
rain should stay east of the area so the threat of flooding has
diminished.

...FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

The Flood Watch is now in effect for

* Portions of Delaware, northeast Maryland, and southern New
Jersey, including the following areas, in Delaware, Delaware
Beaches, Inland Sussex, Kent, and New Castle. In northeast
Maryland, Caroline, Cecil, Kent MD, Queen Annes, and Talbot.
In southern New Jersey, Atlantic, Atlantic Coastal Cape May,
Camden, Cape May, Coastal Atlantic, Coastal Ocean, Cumberland,
Gloucester, Northwestern Burlington, Ocean, Salem, and
  Southeastern Burlington.

* Until 9 PM EDT this evening

* Excessive rains on Friday, up to three inches, in parts of the
Delmarva, have saturated the grounds there. These rains occurred
in addition to the rainfall that occurred over the last few
days. Additional rounds of showers, heavy at times, will occur
into early this evening with localized amounts exceeding an inch
within 1 to 3 hours possible, especially over the Delmarva.
This may result in urban and small stream flooding, especially
for low lying areas. Localized flash flooding is also still
  possible, mainly for the Delmarva.

* Showers are expected to diminish in intensity and coverage
around sunset with the threat of flooding diminishing by mid
  evening.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Continue to keep an eye on later forecasts. All of our hydrologic
forecasts can be accessed via our Advanced Hydrologic Prediction
Service website. While the threat of mainstem river flooding has
indeed diminished, it has not been completely eliminated.

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.
