...THE FLOOD ADVISORY FOR MINOR FLOODING IN POOR DRAINAGE AREAS
REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 545 PM EDT FOR SUSSEX...KENT...TALBOT...QUEEN
ANNE'S...CAROLINE AND SOUTHERN KENT COUNTIES...

At 349 PM EDT, Doppler radar showed moderate to locally heavy rain
continues to fall in portions of eastern Maryland and in central and
southern Delaware. In addition to the 0.5 to 1.5 inch of rainfall
from this morning, automated rain gauges have reported 1 to 2 inches
this afternoon across parts of the advisory area with most of the
precipitation falling in an hour. Overflowing poor drainage areas
will result in minor flooding in the advisory area.

Some locations that could experience flooding include...
Dover, Easton, Georgetown, Centerville, Milford, Seaford, Denton,
Centreville, Millsboro, Laurel, Harrington, Camden, Federalsburg,
Milton, Selbyville, Bridgeville, Greensboro, Oakland, Ridgely and
Delmar.

Additional rainfall of less than one inch is expected through 500
PM. However, we are watching additional heavy showers and storms
developing over southeastern Virginia. This could move back into the
advisory area after 530 PM and cause additional flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.
