...THE FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 815 AM EDT FOR
SUSSEX...NEW CASTLE...KENT...TALBOT...QUEEN ANNE'S...CAROLINE...
KENT...CECIL...CUMBERLAND AND SALEM COUNTIES...

At 631 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a large area of rain...some
of it heavy, moving onto the upper Eastern Shore from the Chesapeake
Bay. This rain will move across the Delmarva between now and 815 AM,
and will cause minor flooding in the Advisory area.

Some locations that could experience flooding include...
Vineland, Dover, Newark, Millville, Bridgeton, Middletown, Easton,
Elkton, Havre De Grace, Georgetown, Centerville, Talbot, Pennsville,
Smyrna, Milford, Seaford, Chestertown, Salem, Denton and Centreville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
