COUNTY...

At 144 PM EDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms that were
located along a line extending from Carteret to Colonia to near
Sayreville. Movement with each storm was south at only 10 mph.

These storms will be near...
  Sayreville around 150 PM EDT.
  Matawan around 155 PM EDT.
  Old Bridge and Brownville around 205 PM EDT.
  Edison and Society Hill around 210 PM EDT.
  Perth Amboy, Somerset and Morganville around 220 PM EDT.
  New Brunswick and East Brunswick around 225 PM EDT.
  North Brunswick and North Brunswick Township around 230 PM EDT.

Other locations impacted by these storms include Madison Park,
Highland Park, South Plainfield, Iselin, Metuchen, Sewaren, Port
Reading, Milltown, Woodbridge and Fords.

Winds up to 40 mph are possible with these storms.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways. Very localized rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are
possible in the next hour where storms move over the same location.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is also occurring with these
storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek
a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
