...AN AREA OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT TALBOT...SOUTH CENTRAL
QUEEN ANNE'S AND CAROLINE COUNTIES...

At 505 PM EDT, a cluster of strong thunderstorms was over Windyhill,
or near Easton, moving east at 30 mph.

Winds up to 40 mph are possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Easton, Denton, Federalsburg, Trappe, Preston, Oxford, Queen Anne,
Tanyard, Harmony, Smithville, Skipton, Copperville, Agner, Matthews,
Choptank, Hambleton, Griffin, Windyhill, Cordova and Hillsboro.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
