...THE URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL
845 AM EDT FOR MERCER...SOUTHERN SOMERSET AND MIDDLESEX COUNTIES...

At 741 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain due to thunderstorms. One to three inches of rain has
occurred in portions of Somerset and Mercer Counties this morning.
This will cause urban and small stream flooding in the advisory area.

Some locations that could experience flooding include...
Trenton, New Brunswick, Perth Amboy, Somerville, Somerset, Edison,
Old Bridge, East Brunswick, South Brunswick, Sayreville, North
Brunswick, Ewing, Carteret, Middlesex, Princeton, Bound Brook,
Manville, Matawan, Jamesburg and Hightstown.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
