...Heavy snow for a time this afternoon in the Poconos...

Snow will fall moderate to heavy at times this afternoon in
Carbon and Monroe counties of northeast Pennsylvania, with
heavier 5 to 6 inch amounts probably confined to the western part
of both counties and the higher terrain. Travel will become quite
hazardous this afternoon, especially with poor visibility and
occasional 1 inch per hour snowfall rates. Snow should mix with
and change to sleet and freezing rain between 4 PM and 7 PM and
then end by 10 PM.

Sharply falling temperatures into the teens after 4 am Monday,
will solidly freeze any remaining moisture and keep the risk of
icy spots for the Monday morning commute.

...Slippery travel develops this afternoon from Reading to
Allentown, the Delaware Water Gap and Newton New Jersey...

Snow will change to sleet and then freezing rain this afternoon
from Reading Pennsylvania through the Lehigh Valley including
Allentown into far northwest New Jersey. Snow accumulations
should be generally less than 2 inches before the change to sleet
and freezing rain. Precipitation may eventually change to non
freezing rain this evening.

Be prepared for hazardous travel on all untreated surfaces this
afternoon and occasionally poor visibility in briefly moderate to
heavy snow.

Icy conditions may linger through this evening in the western
parts of Berks, Lehigh, Northampton, Warren and Sussex counties,
where temperatures hover near or just below freezing.
