Southeastern Montgomery County in southeastern Pennsylvania...
Philadelphia County in southeastern Pennsylvania...
Southeastern Delaware County in southeastern Pennsylvania...
* Until noon EDT.
* At 758 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain which will cause urban and small stream flooding.
Overflowing poor drainage areas will result in minor flooding in
the advisory area. Localized heavy rainfall between 0.75 and 1.5
inch of rain has already fallen across portions of southern New
Jersey. The heavy rain will move into Philadelphia during mid
morning.
* Some locations that could experience flooding include...
Philadelphia, Camden, Vineland, Gloucester City, Cherry Hill,
Evesham, Mount Laurel, Chester, Willingboro, Deptford, Voorhees,
Medford, West Deptford, Glassboro, Lindenwold, Lansdale, Hammonton,
Pennsville, Lumberton and Bellmawr.
Additional localized rainfall of 1 to 2 inches is expected over the
area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Some of these showers and storms are producing rainfall rates in
excess of two inches per hour. Flash Flood Warnings may be needed
later this morning for areas that see multiple rounds of storms, so
be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television
stations for additional information and possible warnings from the
National Weather Service.
Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
