AND DELAWARE'S KENT COUNTIES...

The heavy rain and the flooding threat has ended in Kent County,
Maryland and Kent County, Delaware.

...THE FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 915 AM EDT FOR NEW
CASTLE...CECIL AND WESTERN CHESTER COUNTIES...

At 600 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to showers and
scattered thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the
advisory area.

Some locations that could experience flooding include...
Newark, Middletown, Elkton, Calvert, Coatesville, Smyrna, Kennett
Square, New Castle, Oxford, Parkesburg, North East, West Grove,
Rising Sun, Delaware City, Charlestown, Newport, Cecilton, Glen Roy,
Blake and Stanton.

Additional rainfall of at least an inch or two is possible over the
area.  This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
