...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT EAST CENTRAL MIDDLESEX AND
NORTHEASTERN MONMOUTH COUNTIES...

At 957 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Matawan, or 8
miles southeast of Perth Amboy, moving northeast at 30 mph.

Winds up to 40 mph are possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Sandy Hook, Middletown, Old Bridge, Tinton Falls, Holmdel, Red Bank,
Matawan, Highlands, Navesink, Lincroft, Brownville, Keyport, Rumson,
Little Silver, Shrewsbury, Madison Park, Strathmore, North Middletown
and Laurence Harbor.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
