...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 8 AM TO 1 PM EDT
FRIDAY...

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for freezing rain and sleet, which is in effect
from 8 AM to 1 PM EDT Friday.

* LOCATIONS...The Southern Poconos.

* HAZARD TYPES...Freezing rain and sleet.

* ACCUMULATIONS...Ice accumulation up to a few hundredths of an
  inch. Less than a tenth of an inch of sleet accumulation.

* TIMING...Precipitation is expected to move in shortly after
  sunrise, starting as a mix of freezing rain and sleet. As
  temperatures slowly increase through the morning, precipitation
  should change over to all rain by mid day.

* IMPACTS...Icing may create slippery conditions on roads,
  bridges, and sidewalks.

* WINDS...South 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.

* TEMPERATURES...Starting in the mid 20s increasing to mid 30s by
  mid day.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow...sleet...or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities...and use caution while
driving.
