...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT NORTHERN NEW CASTLE AND
SOUTHEASTERN CECIL COUNTIES...

At 708 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Saint Georges,
or 7 miles north of Middletown, moving northeast at 10 mph.

Winds up to 40 mph are possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Wilmington, Newark, Elsmere, New Castle, Delaware City, Newport,
Saint Georges, Mount Pleasant, Stanton, Glasgow, Bear, Wilmington
Manor, Pike Creek, North Star and Brookside.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
