...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT NORTHEASTERN OCEAN AND
SOUTHEASTERN MONMOUTH COUNTIES...

At 542 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Jackson, or 12
miles northwest of Toms River, moving northeast at 15 mph.

Winds up to 40 mph are possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Toms River, Lakewood, Jackson, Howell, Tinton Falls, Manasquan, Point
Pleasant Beach, Lakehurst, Farmingdale, Leisure Village, Allenwood,
East Freehold, Cedar Glen West, Jacksons Mills, West Freehold,
Cassville, Adelphia, Vista Center, Ramtown and Collingwood Park.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
