...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT NORTHWESTERN CECIL AND
SOUTHWESTERN CHESTER COUNTIES...

At 620 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Havre De Grace,
drifting slowly northeast at 5 mph.

Locations impacted include...
Havre De Grace, North East, Rising Sun, Charlestown, Zion,
Richardsmere, Woodlawn, West Nottingham, Octoraro, Conowingo, Rock
Springs, Bay View, Farmington, Perryville and Port Deposit.

These storms will contain gusty winds up to 40 mph, torrential
downpours and occasional cloud to ground lightning.

Heavy rainfall will lead to ponding of water on roadways and poor
visibility at times this afternoon. Flash flooding could develop
shortly.

Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional
information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
