...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT SOUTHERN OCEAN COUNTY...

At 453 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Tuckerton, or
16 miles north of Atlantic City, moving southeast at 15 mph.

Winds up to 35 mph are possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Tuckerton, Beach Haven West and Mystic Island.

Torrential downpours with this storm will cause poor visibilities
and ponding of water on roadways.

If you are at the beach, specifically, Long Beach Island, get out of
the water and move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning
can strike out to 10 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can
hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move
to safe shelter now! Do not be caught on the beach in a thunderstorm.
