...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR SOUTHWESTERN KENT COUNTY IS
CANCELLED...

The storms which prompted the warning have weakened and moved out of
the warned area. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled. However
heavy rain and gusty winds remain possible.

A severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for
central Delaware...and eastern and northeastern Maryland.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 645 PM EDT
FOR WEST CENTRAL KENT...NORTHERN TALBOT...SOUTHEASTERN QUEEN ANNE'S
AND CAROLINE COUNTIES...

At 609 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Goldsboro to Cordova to near St. Michaels, moving
east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor damage to vehicles is possible. Expect damage to
         trees and power lines.

These severe storms will be near...
  Oakland, Goldsboro, Queen Anne, Matthews and Jumptown around 615
  PM EDT.
  Greensboro, Ridgely and Griffin around 620 PM EDT.
  Denton, Sandtown and Harmony around 625 PM EDT.
  Woodside, Viola and Tanyard around 635 PM EDT.

Other locations impacted by these severe thunderstorms include
Felton, Woodside East, Marydel, Riverview, Hillsboro and Henderson.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

In addition to large hail and damaging winds...frequent cloud to
ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors
immediately. Remember...if you can hear thunder...you are close
enough to be struck by lightning.
