...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 330 PM EDT
FOR NORTHERN NEW CASTLE...CECIL...SOUTHERN CHESTER AND SOUTHWESTERN
DELAWARE COUNTIES...

At 241 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Marshallton to Oxford to Conowingo, moving
southeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines.

These severe storms will be near...
  Downingtown and Marshallton around 245 PM EDT.
  West Chester, Calvert, Kennett Square, West Grove, Lombard and
  Zion around 250 PM EDT.
  Westtown, Blake, Hockessin and North Star around 255 PM EDT.
  Andora, Fair Hill, Pleasant Hill, Kemblesville, Ashland, Bay View,
  Ladenberg and Pike Creek around 300 PM EDT.
  North East, Charlestown, Barksdale, Talleyville, Cherry Hill,
  Elam, Appleton, Glen Westover, Greenville and Concordville around
  305 PM EDT.
  Newark, Elkton, Elsmere, Newport, Arden and Chelsea around 310 PM
  EDT.
  Wilmington, Brantwood, Chester Township and Wilmington Manor
  around 315 PM EDT.
  Hollywood Beach, Glasgow, Bear and Delaware Memorial Bridge around
  320 PM EDT.

Other locations impacted by these severe thunderstorms include
Perryville, Chesapeake City, South Coatesville, Modena, Edgemoor,
Marcus Hook, Boothwyn, Trainer, Thorndale and Chester Heights.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

In addition to large hail and damaging winds...frequent cloud to
ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors
immediately. Remember...if you can hear thunder...you are close
enough to be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
