WB6NGK here again with a signal report from the south point of the
Oroville, CA reservoir.

   - NF6X - 100% readable, including typo's. Signal was a steady S10 over
   an average S7 noise floor.
   - KE3BK - 0% readable due to not even hearing him (her?)

Interesting conversation material (better if I could copy KE3BK). No
discernable fading or static crashes today, as 2 weeks ago.

Mark,

In the early eighties I worked as a repair tech for a CAD/CAM company
(Calma, in Sunnyvale), where I repaired Data General Nova II and Eclipse
S230 mini computers (long live core memory !!). Also Lexidata graphic mini
computers, Barco color monitors, Hazeltine 1500 CRT terminals, 9 Track tape
drives, digitizing tables, etc. Fun times and interesting technology. Too
bad electronics has become an appliance industry. You can't "roll up your
sleeves and dig in" anymore. Even current hobbyist (Maker) activity is
nothing more than gluing together pre-existing modules with scripts of
pre-written library code. Where is the fun :-)

73,

de WB6NGK, Peter
