Do you do the recon to study effects of the fire, or to study the geology that just got exposed as a side effect of the fire clearing brush away?

We had a little brush fire under a mile from me a month or two ago (time has lost all meaning during the pandemic work-at-home!). CALFIRE knocked it down before it threatened any homes. Three aircraft on scene plus ground crews. I got some cool pictures of two of the aircraft which flew overhead a bunch of times.
