Yup, that's what I got it for. Just procured a 109 (tnx to Jeff, W1AEA) and wanted to insure that if the 1L6 ever krumpped I'd have a spare.

They are also used in GRC-109 receivers.

The story on 1L6's is that they are used in the Zenith Trans Oceanics - and those guys are hoarding them,... $30 seems to be a reasonable price these days.  The other GRC-109 bottles are rather cheap by comparison. I have a full set of spares - thus guaranteeing I will never need any!  HiHi
