Latest Info on the West Coast Military Radio Collector’s Group 21st Annual Meet -

WHEN: May 6 & 7, 2016
WHERE: NCO Club, Camp San Luis Obispo, California
MORE INFO: http://www.mrcgwest.org

The 21st Annual West Coast Military Radio Collector’s Group meeting at Camp San Luis Obispo will be held at the NCO Club on Friday and Saturday May 6th & 7th, 2016. Early arrivals on Thursday May 5th are welcome after 1 pm as usual.

MRCG requests a $20 "fair share" donation when you sign in to help cover expenses. You will get a raffle ticket when you do this, however.

Be aware that CSLO is an active military base and you will need to have proof of insurance and appropriate identification to get thru the gate. See the website for more info.

NOTE: Please no horse-trading before the Swap Meet starting at 0800 on Saturday !

*** T-SHIRT ORDERS MUST BE IN BEFORE MARCH 31 ***

Only 10 days left to reserve your T-shirt - there will be a very limited number of extras at the meet for those who fail to reserve a shirt. Please see this year’s T-Shirt and ordering info on the website (http://www.mrcgwest.org).

Pre-orders for reserved shirts MUST be here before March 31st, as that is the day I'm telling the shop how many to make.

BTW, buy a shirt and receive an extra raffle ticket (must be present to win).

Sponsors

We are very happy to report that Tom Murphy W6TOM, Clare Owens N2RJB and Steve Hudson KI6BSQ have each generously donated $100 to be a sponsor for the 2016 event! Please be sure to thank them when you see them.

In addition, the ARRL has again become a sponsor, donating $100 in gift certificates to be awarded to participants (I think that's divided among three items) - one of them will go to the Best Display as determined by attendees voting for their favorite, and another chosen at random from the raffle tickets. The third one will be awarded to the winner of the Fox Hunt (if, in fact, there really are three of them).

Program Notes:

This year we return to judging the displays, and as mentioned above, there is a reward for the "best". Rian W6SVU has agreed to coordinate the judging, but it's up to each of you to fill out a ballot and bring something “really cool” to display.

Mark NF6X has created a devious fox and will be conducting the 6-meter Fox hunt, so bring your best game.
