[MRCG] "Radio Event": Military Vehicle Preservation Association annual convention August 2016

The Military Vehicle Collectors of California (MVCC) is hosting the
*National* Military Vehicle Preservation Association annual convention
11-13 August 2016.  The MVCC is the guys who run Camp Delta in April/Sept
every year up in Lodi CA.  Websites below:

We, the MRCG, have been invited to attend and participate in any way that
makes sense.  Displays, operations, seminars, swaps etc.  A recent one up
in Oregon had a great display of the British 7th Armoured Brigade; the "Desert
Rats" vehicles, complete with date palm trees, sand and an operational
WS-11 set + an original wire antenna up among the palms.. Pretty cool  Then
there is Camp Delta.  If you miss those, you need retraining.

There will be LOTS of military radios with cool Military Vehicles bolted to
them!  Camp Delta usually has upwards of 200 military vehicles in
attendance, this gathering should attract  those plus many more...

This is a long way off but let's start thinking about it.  It will be held
at the Alameda County Fairgrounds, an indoor/outdoor venue in Pleasanton
CA.  Camping, RV's, hotels, behind the bushes etc.  Easily accessible via
I-5 or US 101....

Maybe we hold a 2016 MRCG field event concurrent with them?  Waddaya think?
