Re: Scott, thanks for the correction on his callsign, John.
Re: Time, I will move net start time one hour earlier next weekend, to 18:30 PDT. Then we have the &#$^!&% time change the following weekend, making it 19:30 PST, if I'm not totally confused. :)
Re: Frequency, I haven't wrestled a GRC-46 on RTTY yet, so I don't know how the tuning works out there yet. I expect to learn all about this eventually, but hopefully John will be able to help me by then! I know how to make it all work with fldigi and a ricebox, so I can help folks using that setup.
Our frequency discipline on both nets has been pretty lax. Many of us seem to forget that the correct frequency for any radio net is *whatever frequency the NCS is tuned to.* So, for example, the nominal published frequency of the weekly AM net is 3985, but Dennis is nearly always tuned higher than that when he's NCS. Many of us, including me about half the time, forget to zero-beat the NCS, and then continue to follow his or her drift as the net continues. Then there are even a few folks who are a KC or more off! Shame!! :)
