[MRCG] MRCG 2014 Meet at San Luis Obispo Confirmed

Operating event: I plan to bring my BC-375-E and BC-248-R station along with my 32'whip.

It might be worthwhile to expand the operating event into the evening: advertise it in QST (3 month lead time, IIRC). One way to get more interest outside of our circle. 

That would involve a brief write up with our event callsign, freqs and modes/times. A QSL crew and a special card would take more work and extra $$, but I'm sure there would be many "out there" who'd jump at the chance to hear and contact an old mil-rig. My Club did a couple of special events from the LCI(L)-1091 up here in the harbor and people came out of the woodwork reminiscing about parents/grandparents who'd served.

In any case, I'd love to stay up late Friday night playing radio as long as I had someone to talk to!

PS: My one and only QSO/ragchew for the CW CX last weekend (Married, with children) was on the TCS with a fellow in Sacramento on an Elecraft KX-3. He asked "RIG AGN?" and was pleasantly surprised when he looked it up.
