Subject: [MRCG] TRC-1 Post War Variant

While roaming the aisles at a recent gun show, I happened upon an Olive Drab
box sitting on one of the tables. Although it took a minute to figure out
it was a transmitter, I was intrigued by the history of it.

The unit is a T-14J/TRC-1-GY, Serial Number 813. It had a typical MFR name
plate but the verbiage is what caught my interest. It was apparently
manufactured in West Berlin, just after WW-2 by a German firm for use by the
Signal Corps and perhaps other occupation troops.
