I would like to try my PRC-77 out this year.
John, WB6AZP plan to try working each other during the Friday exercise on
51 MHz, wideband FM.
I plan to leave early Friday and drive to a location on HWY 46, elevation
is 1700 feet. Using Google Earth this location is line of sight to where I
operated in Moro Bay State Park last year, path is 15 miles. It is also line
of sight to Spooner Cove at Montanya De Oro State Park and close to line of
sight to Camp San Luis, 20 mile path. I have a 1/4 wave antenna on my truck
I intend to use.
I have used this software for path predictions for 950 MHz data radio
applications with good results.
Anyone else who has FM equipment bring it and we'll see if we can work each
other.
Tom Murphy, W6TOM
