 There has been lot's of discussion on the Moose and Squirrel Net on which frequency to use the the net once the new band allocation comes into effect on February 13. In the U.S. we still have the 5330.5, 5346.5, 5371.5 and 5403.5 channels at 100 watt ERP but the 5357 channel will be replaced by a 15 kHz band with a 9.1 watt ERP.

The M&S net will move to 5403.5 on February 14 but I wondered what the band allocation is on the new band. Someone graciously provided me with these IARU band plans:

<https://www.iaru-r2.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/IARU-Region-2-Band-plan.pdf>

<https://www.iaru.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/R3-004-IARU-Region-3-Bandplan-rev.2.pdf>

The 60 meter allocations for Region 2 are as follows:

Frequencies (kHz)  BW (Hz)    Mode
5351.5 - 5354      500      CW, DM
5354 - 5366      2700    All Modes - Voice USB
5366 – 5366.5      20      CW, DM

Concerning 5354 - 5366. Since 5357 is the FT8 frequency this leaves us with three frequencies to use for USB 5354, 5360 and 5363. We lose some output power but gain additional bandwidth so those with radios that tune in 1 kHz steps still have an opportunity to operate. Low power will work when the sun sets.
