Ray I was trying to copy the teletype on 7080 but no joy here. I could see the mark come up, but wasn’t able to copy anything due to atmospheric so I guess. I was somewhat embarrassed on the 7296 net too. I wished I knew that everybody switched down to a lower frequency but that’s OK. I’ll check in next week. Will you be coming out with a schedule for the next week activities?MikeW1ZFB On Sunday, April 19, 2026 at 03:41:30 PM EDT, mrca-request at mailman.qth.net <mrca-request at mailman.qth.net> wrote:

I brought the M151 Vietnam era road show to the annual Delaware State Convention and Ham Fest at Georgetown Delaware yesterday. Usually, I run up a mast and use an inverted V for forty and sixty meters but because of space limitations and concerns about possible interference with W1AW/3 decided to just use the antenna on board the MUTT With that I was able to work K9WT who was twenty over on 7087 RATT Net but not able to copy K3TZJ except for a word or two. At the top of the hour went up to 7296 but have to say that I had a group of people around and nothing but embarrassed by the presents of our Troll and his outburst. Later that afternoon tried the 5403.5 M&S Net and with the assistance of N2MS was able to check into that net.
Couple of the highlights of the road show were the AN/PRC-25 universally everywhere I go and set up, military vehicle or Ham radio everyone loves the PRC-25 and another thing that always goes over well at events is I have the old manpack GPS unit along with everything that's in the MUTT for doing teletype and pointing out that you can do all this only better with your current generation cell phone!
The Delaware Goes to War event at Fort Miles bunker 519 will be next week.

*thought I would also mention that somehow, I won first place prize at the Fests raffle a new ICOM 7300 transceiver, go figure!
