Thanks to EVERYONE who responded to this. To Mike, N2MS, I actually looked at those very connectors and even bought some to see how they were in person. In the end, I went in a different direction.
As I mentioned, I won't need very high current as the radio battery is 28V but the starting battery is 12V. Originally I was going to use one of those CNLINKO connectors for the solar panels and a different connector for the 28V outputs to run something like a PRC-47 etc. I decided to use a 5-contact Amphenol 18-11 arrangement (#12 contacts for 25-30A if needed, but 20A will be enough with maybe some voice peaks higher). This is a 5 pin connector which I will use 2 contacts for solar input, 1 for ground, one for 28V and one for 12V (see pin-out.png attached).
The connector at the end of the solar panels will use pins B+C. 12V loads will use pins D+E and 28V loads will use pins A+E. And in the off chance that I want to charge using the solar panels whilst using a load like a PRC-47, I am making a box that will connect to the receptacle on the truck and provide two more receptacles, again identical. The selection of the function is by using the appropriate pins in the male plug on the device itself.
I'm using a dual-width US outlet box and getting a custom panel for it to hold the two connectors. Surely overkill but so much fun to build things (even if they will rarely get used).
Thanks again everyone. You all helped me fine tune my thinking.

Eugene,
You may consider circular Aviation or Marine Connectors. Here is an example. One Ham replaced the connectors on his ICOM AH-4 tuner with CNLINKO connectors:
