I read  army radio  Tech manuals....

your in the Australian signals and are told to test a PRC -10 to see if it has power output without test equipment in the jungle

Per the 1950's "notes for signalers". You unscrew the dial lamp and jam it into the BNC antenna socket and transmit..  the lamp will glow brightly.....

So there.
