[MRCA] URC-32 / 180U-2 antenna coupler or Harris allturnative

The Harris RF-127 would be ideal, or the 180U-2 being it would fit without having to restack. But knowing the price of the MRF-150 devices its dam hard to just sit there and yak away watching the VSWR light flash on the performance monitor flashing away.

These harris amps are very well protected against VSWR. I don’t have the spec in front of me but I think they can operate into a 4:1 SWR antenna without so much as a hiccup (of course, not much signal is getting out at that SWR). In addition they all have very elegant foldback capabilities to reduce output power. I think you are very safe.

When I bought my RF-1110 and RF-1310 there was a RF-127 but it got away before I got there! The person who got it bought a RF-110 amplifier and I don’t think they are as sensitive to the VSWR issue as the solid state 1110 is but there you go.
Yes that’s the best solution, somehow think the RF-1110 was intended to be used without it, what’s it going to take to pry that one from you???
