Nice work, Breck.  That tube clamp would make usual method challenging to use, which is to wrap a piece of wire wrap wire around the pin of interest(often a screen grid).  

 

What piece of gear is that?

 

Be careful poking around on the top side of the tube!

I forgot about the tube clamps so I had to trim part of the PVC to make the base of the extender  fit.
The numbers were created with a Brother Label Printer.  Once the pin number labels are  applied then coat them with clear finger nail polish from the Dollar Store  and they will survive a lot of  abuse.
