[MRCA] [Milsurplus] RF Generator wanted

Back in the late 70’s I had an IFR-1000. It was a really neat unit, but I traded it for some other TE. A few years ago I picked up a much nicer IFR with more capabilities and a color LCD display. I do not recall the nomenclature. Other than to test it out, I have not used it. I think for my needs I can get rid of all of my other TE and just keep the IFR. 73 – Mike

Wow, mind blown! the Direct Support and General Maintenance TM 11-5820-520-34 that’s like the bible for the 106 calls for use of  individual items like a RF Signal generator, millivolt meter, power meter and dummy load. But the later Alignment manual calls for and shows the IFR-500 being used, imagine the IFR is a better box for HF AM/SSB then the Motorola. Never owned an IFR but maybe it’s time to rethink that.
