[MRCA] net today

Hey all,

After some work on antenna systems for the last month, I tried to get on the M&S net today. I had to wait for round 2 to get in. but I think I doubled with someone and then round 2 took off fast so never got in.

I was using a 43' vertical and I can say, as the theory predicts, it doesn't like close signals! I could hear KK1K very well (with some QSB) and KA1LHZ very well and K4DBK in VA came in strong, but no 2-land, 3 land, not even Dale.

Ray, your signal was about 300 Hz low in frequency by my estimates. Nothing a little tuning down didn't solve.

Hope to try again. Might try to get on the air tonight.
