I'm selling a BC-654-A and a BC-659-J, both operational.  Might be an opportunity to run the sets and check them out.  They ain't going cheap, though ($3200 and $2700)  BC-659-J is set for up for 29.6 MHz and 29.1MHz.  I would be there Saturday only.

What are some of the plans for Gilbert? Getting close, just decided to splurge and spent $60 on a trailer brake controller for the mutt carrier and am having thoughts about what besides the self propelled GRC-106 is going to make the trip.

Figure the MAK has to go, want to try to use that to QSO with the local 3885 stuff and just generally show it off. What are the rest of you thinking? Hope we can do a large scale Beltsville Lake field operation like last year. May try to do a pack radio and stomp off into the woods or something if I can con Walt into running the stuff in the mutt again.

We had a dozen different stations operating from all parts of the lake last year. With the mutt as NCS it can accommodate any mode on HF, six meter FM via the VRC-43 or VHF AM or FM on the URC. The issue is not NCS but the limitations of pack sets, I know my PRC will only do 5.357 or 3.885 Almost makes you want to go out and get something that can QSY 3885 last year had a lot of outside activity but 60 meters and the VHF 51.0 or any other VHF channels were clear.

Anyone have any thoughts?
