[MRCA] Free equipment

Not that I want the receivers but was wondering, The boys book of Hallicrafters says the SX-25 was produced from 1940 to 1945. How is it that Hallicrafters had the resources to keep producing Ham equipment during WW2? would have thought that all of their production would have shifted to the war effort by early 42? looking at the old WW2 QST almost the only add for new equipment was that Echophone EC-1 pile of junk? also on the subject have been told the EC-1 was produced in occupied Italy, is that true? would explain a lot.

Not MIL gear but the price may be right. I have two Hallicrafters SX-25
receivers. One really nice condition and re-capped unit was on the
bench and doing fine. Then... poof. The other was awaiting fire-up.
I've decided to simply cease this, and other, restoration projects and
actually try and use all the new and old gear I have. How's that for a
concept! Free to whomever might choose to pick them up in Central
Maryland. If No Joy, I'll simply pull the tubes and out they go. Xin Loi.
